Sales Representative

The Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new sales leads and working other assigned leads to establish new accounts. They will also manage and monitor their pipeline, attend tradeshows, and other events as needed to meet the company’s overall objectives. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new customer prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, webinars, discovery, and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision-makers is critical.

Primary duties include the following:

  • Present, promote, and sell Help Lightning using solid arguments to prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis for potential customers by using consultative sales techniques and knowledge
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Collaborate with marketing, R&D and other teams within the company regarding product features, usability, and roadmap planning
  • Use the CRM (Salesforce) to maintain all status and communication with prospects
  • Attend regular sales meetings and one-on-one meetings with direct manager
  • Supply management with information regarding customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new product functions and features
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years telemarketing and/or inside sales experience including lead generation activities
  • Proven track record of strong client relationships
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • General understanding of databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
